Land Ahoy!

Mhadei got alongside safely at Fremantle Yacht Club Marina at 1630 (GMT + 8). More later as it is difficult to do "Elbow Bending" and blogging at the same time!

Hi,

Congrats on successful completion of Leg 1.

Am still monitoring your progress very keenly, didn’t write as I was having a torrid time at the yard for the last few days. Good to know Ratnakar and the support team are reaching. As I write this Cdr Puranik is in South Block getting his deputation formalities completed. Figure it's simpler to go around the world in a boat than on a deputation with white passport!!!

My suggestion is to continue living like a sailor - as on the waves so on land, which I see that you are already doing !! I am told that South Australian or Tasmanian wine is great. Am sure you'll get it in the West too. Also some great sea food – home cooked – with rice.

Keep writing about your exploits even while in port. Get the boat really done up for the Southern Oceans.

There’s a travel book by John Steinbeck called “Travels with Charley” about his journey by road through America. The Charley here is a dog. Seeing your winged companion makes me wonder whether you should have taken a four legged or winged companion. Am sure it will still count as a solo-circumnavigation. Maybe you’ll get a parrot or an owl or something in Freemantle.

Take Care.

Heartiest Congrate!
Dear Cdr Dilip Donde,
Its highly proud moment for all the Indians, that you have successfully completed your first task. Happy Desera!!

Forget about media. They do not know what is to be covered. they go after TRP and thus forget the real HEROs.

One thing all the blog readers could do is send emails to websites of various news channels. If there are multiple emails, they are bound to hear us out...
